  We received a Gowise 6Qt Pressure Cooker for Christmas in 2016 and really liked it. It was $30 less expensive than the Insta-pot and GoWise advertised it was made in the USA so we decided to support this company. In Feb of 2018 (13 months later) the pressure cooker just stopped working. We plugged it in and it wouldn't turn on.
  
  I contacted the company to see if we could send it in for repair and they declined, even after verifying our purchase. They said their warranty only covers 12 months. The CSR I spoke with then told me that when these cases happen within warranty, the customer ships the unit to them (customer pays shipping) and then they end up sending back a refurbished unit to the customer. He then offered me a 35% discount which I declined. Insta-pot has a much better warranty and reputation in customer service.
  
  I then saw in some reviews on Amazon that this company is in the USA but the parts in their machines are not from the USA. That is even more frustrating!!
  
  I have attempted to contact Gowise thru different social media platforms which have either been ignored or a public message is presented saying they will contact me but no specific remedy is offered.
  
  I feel like this company is a scam and that people should not purchase any machine they offer. They are clearly not standing behind their products but cycling thru refurbished repairs only until a warranty period completes.
